Hol Chan Reef Resort is a brand new resort located about 3.5 miles south of San Pedro Town, and directly across from the Hol Chan Marine Reserve.  The resort is nestled on the Caribbean Ocean, at the southern end of Ambergris Caye island.  It is about a 20 minute ride on a golf cart, from the San Pedro airstrip to the property.  What attracts most visitors to the southern end of the island, is the quiet, serene lifestyle that you will find here.  This is the place where you can kick off your shoes, grab a good book, throw on a bathing suit (rum punch in hand), and just relax.

Hol Chan Marine Reserve is located directly across from Hol Chan Reef Resort.  It was officially established in 1987 as a national park by the government of Belize.  Since this time, Hol Chan has experience an explosion in growth as to all marine species and for this reason, it is one of the top diving and snorkeling sights in all of Belize.

The Hol Chan Marine Park, encompasses four zones (1) The Reef, (2) The Seabeds, (3) The Mangroves, (4) Shark Ray Alley.  Shark Ray Alley (zone 4) of the Hol Chan Marine Park, was recently selected as one of the seven best "animal dives" in the Caribbean by Skin Diver Magazine.
